If you've never experienced the joy of accomplishing more than you can imagine, plant a garden. - Robert Brault

Dark overgrown courtyard in need of redesign and renovation

The courtyard in need of a makeover.

This small courtyard had become a boring shady area with large overgrown Cupressus x leyandii, dead tree stumps, uneven crazy paving and colourless borders.

A simple re-design including the removal of the Cupressus x leyandii trees and tree stumps, re building the walls and steps, changing the crazy paving to Norfolk Flint, re shaping the borders and adding a rose arch and water feature has, with careful planting, created a tranquil, private sheltered oasis.
